High Level Statement of the Role

The Material Handler is responsible for moving inventory and production supplies safely from warehouses to production floors. Responsible for safe and timely delivery of materials, employing the highest industry safety standards. Coordinate with a team of lifters to maximize efficiency, paying careful attention to detail, ensuring the proper completion of every order.

High Level Roles & Responsibilities

  • Uses a variety of available tools to supply the production line, or specific machines, with materials used in production
  • This may require specific certifications on powered equipment
  • Ensure parts are in correct storage locations, and rotate according to FIFO procedure
  • Issue material to the production floor by filling stock pull requests
  • Issue material according to all associated procedures and work instructions
  • Complete cycle counts required for the area
  • Pursue continuous process improvements
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Check foot straps for ESD compliance as needed
  • Identify and report potential shortages
  • Support manufacturing as required to ensure build plans are completed as scheduled
  • Ensure 5S initiatives are being followed
  • Assist in department Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Adheres to all quality and safety guidelines
  • Complete work within assigned time limits
  • Additional duties as assigned
