Description

Description: This position is responsible for the safe and legal transportation of goods to and from customers. Employees are expected to follow regulations set forth under Government and Employer rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follow and comply with applicable Federal, State, and Employer requirements to ensure safe driving practices.
  • Verify freight accuracy, shipper/consignee, and safe route of travel.
  • Perform safety checks, and maintain a clean and sanitized work environment with all equipment.
  • Maintain proper documentation in all record-keeping formats.
  • Operate all transportation equipment at an efficient level to fulfill all demands.
  • Assist with general cleaning and maintenance.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner when assigned by dispatch.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment.
  • Basic understanding of a semi-tractor and troubleshooting ability.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines in order to maintain regulatory compliance.
Position Requirements

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Completion of Accredited Driving school or 3 years of Documented CMV driving
  • Current Fed Medical card
  • No Traffic Convictions in the last 3 years
  • No OWI convictions in last 5 years
  • Current Valid Class A CDL
