Description

Summary

This position is responsible for the picking up and delivery of laundry to and from different company properties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Delivers dirty laundry to laundry facility and clean laundry to proper department
  • Collects soiled linen for laundry
  • Stores linen in housekeeping areas
  • Assists housekeeping department by striping beds and gathering dirty linens.
  • Deliver and stock items purchased and received to proper location.
  • Maintains storage areas on the property in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Reports any item in the public areas that needs maintenance repair to the Hotel manager/supervisor.
  • Attends all scheduled staff meetings.
  • Helps in maintaining housekeeping and laundry facility.
  • Uses all chemicals as recommended by manufacture.
  • Reports any unsafe working and guest room conditions immediately to Hotel manager/supervisor
  • Provides the highest level of professionalism when dealing with guests. Recognize and greet each guest you come in contact with.
  • Other duties may be requested by your manager/supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Training in biohazard clean up and disposal. General understanding of MSDS and OSHA requirements.

Basic to advanced level in custodial training

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school education and one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Abilityto weigh items and add and subtract using whole numbers.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Valid California Driver's License.
