TOP Secret Network Engineer

Install, configure, maintain, update, and refine networks

Implement, manage, and monitor Cisco ASA firewalls

Troubleshoot and resolve network issues and outages

Document networking configurations, diagrams, and rack layouts.

Evaluate network performance and make appropriate recommendations

Examine network vulnerabilities and determine actions to mitigate them

Provide off-hours support as needed for system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities

Recommend, schedule, and/or implement repairs within the network environment

Schedule and perform backups on all network components

Ensure network components maintain compliance with NIST security requirements

Develop network documentation such as diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Provide network and system administration support to the program Helpdesk; ability to perform analysis of applications and lab operational environments

Deploy and install software and upgrades to the latest software baseline

Support labs with other program-related software and processes to include Trellix ePO, MS WSUS, backup configurations, etc.

Support other system administration / engineering tasks as needed

-Active Top Secret clearance

-5+ years of experience with Network Architecture/Engineering, Cisco ASA firewalls including VPN configurations, implementing changes, and monitoring

-Experience creating and designing network diagrams

-Experience configuring, hardening, and managing Cisco switches and routers

-Expertise with Cisco fabric ACI and configuration of ACLs
