**Essential duties & responsibilities:**

* Responsible for running production as a loaded/unloader, or on a drill press station, weld nut station, saw, or other basic fabrication equipment and tooling.

* Conducts inspections in accordance with relevant gage plans with a working knowledge of how to operate required inspection equipment.

* Able to troubleshoot problems that arise with work center and parts.

* Cleans parts as required.

* Responsible for set-up, work preparation, fabrication, clean up, and quality assurance of own work and work area.

* Responsible for preventative maintenance of machine center and compliance with the 6-S schedule.

* Assures compliance with QSR/ISO procedures/policies, customer service goals, and quality standards while meeting production goals.

* Accountable for all record-keeping as appropriate and in accordance with Stryker specifications.

* Committed to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously searching for ways to enhance performance and meeting all training and documentation criteria.

* Adhering to all Stryker quality Systems.

**Education & special trainings:**

High school diploma or equivalent

**Qualifications & experience:**

* Ability to operate basic fabrication equipment required.

* Quality training, incoming part quality, gage plan completion, and proper part loading.

* Must have skills in team concepts and basic preventative maintenance.

* Basic skills Ability to read and follow blueprints, basic reading, metrology and math skills, and ability to adhere to safety-related issues to include, but not limited to, good housekeeping and ergonomics practices.

* Set-up skills to include following prints and product specifications needed.

* Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.

**Physical & mental requirements:**

* May involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing, as appropriate.

* May be required to reach, push, or pull in order to accomplish job accountabilities.

* Requires use of safety glasses in designated areas.

* Closed-toe/closed-heel shoes must be worn on the production floor; safety shoes are recommended

* Coordination of eye, hand, and/or foot movement with an ability to grasp by hand and meet cognitive demands to include visual and auditory discrimination/memory, reading ability, and memory retention ability.
