Van-Am Defense Systems is a custom manufacturer/fabrication shop located in Waverly, IA. We are seeking strong welding/fabrication candidates to join our outstanding teamSuccessful Welders will be responsible for welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. This position requires a high level of skill and accuracy, as well as a strong understanding of safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a solid work history and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.MIG with some TIG. Carbon and Stainless. Compensation is based upon skill and experience.Welder Responsibilities:Operate welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Use a variety of welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.Perform maintenance on welding equipment and tools.Inspect welds for accuracy and quality.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Shift is Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Overtime opportunities available.As part of the hiring process at Van-Am Defense Systems, all candidates are required to undergo a pre-employment drug test.
