Primoris Industrial and Civil is seeking to hire multiple, experienced Heavy and Medium Equipment Operators for our project in Hastings, Nebraska. This project is expected to last through the rest of the year. We look forward to reviewing your application and discussing this exciting opportunityPositions Needed:Heavy Equipment Operator: The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating various equipment such as Backhoe, Skid Steer, Excavator, Dozer, and other miscellaneous equipment. Must have thorough knowledge of the operation, safety, and maintenance of the equipment being operated. Must possess the ability to safely operate equipment in the presence of field crew members and utilities, ensuring the safety of all persons, equipment, property, and utilities in the area. Heavy Equipment Operators are responsible for adhering to all safety regulations and reporting any violations to field supervision immediately. *Knowledge of Excavator Preferred*Medium Equipment Operator:The Medium Equipment Operator is responsible for operating various equipment such as Loader, Skid steer, Dozer, and other miscellaneous equipment. Must have thorough knowledge of the operation, safety, and maintenance of the equipment being operated. Must possess the ability to safely operate equipment in the presence of field crew members and utilities, ensuring the safety of all persons, equipment, property, and utilities in the area. Medium Equipment Operators are responsible for adhering to all safety regulations and reporting any violations to field supervision immediately.Functional Requirements:Operates construction, excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment including backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, or grade tractors.Prepares construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation.Uses excavating machinery to dig holes and trenches used in structural concrete.Transports tools and other construction equipment to and from construction sites.Uses equipment to prepare building sites for exterior site concrete such as parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, and loading docks.Operates machinery used to build bridges, roads, and railroads.Inspects and fuels vehicle prior to beginning shift.Performs routine maintenance and repairs.Performs other related duties as assigned.Preferred:Extensive knowledge of heavy & medium machinery operation and capabilities.Ability to read building plans related to structural concrete and land grades.Excellent mechanical skills.Ability to follow instructions.Qualification Standards:*Must be able to Pass Drug Test, Physical & Background CheckOne (1) to four (3) years of experience with all dirt work areas, including excavation, grade work, surveying, and final excavating workHands on leaderA basic understanding of how to read blueprintsGood communication skillsFlexibility & willingness to work in multiple positions to see the project completed as efficiently and cost-effectively as possibleMust not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace.Adhere to job site safety requirements as required by the client Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).Physical requirements:Must comply with company's drug and alcohol abuse policy.Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs.
