Role:
Occasional part-time (up to 28 hours per week) Registered Nurse (RN) works closely with the psychiatry staff and other medical professionals by utilizing a team-based model. The RN provides assessment and treatment services, coordinates complex care, and promotes health education in order to integrate healthcare within the team Experience in physical and mental health assessments, interpretation of laboratory tests, medication administration including injectable medications, treatment planning, and knowledge pertaining to mental health disorders and medications is preferred. This position is an occasional position that will fill in during the absence of other team members. The nurse works under the supervision of the Medical Director and Program Director.

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
Associate's degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Good working knowledge of medications used for behavioral health needs preferred.
Experience working with people with adults with serious mental illness required.
Valid MI driver's license required.
Weekday and daytime hours only (with occasional evening hours until 7 pm)
Job Specific Requirements:
This is a great position for someone who wants to have occasional nursing hours and wants to learn the CMH system. Prior experience with a community mental health agency is desirable but not required. Experience in working with electronic medical records preferred. Ability to work as part of a team of professionals in a public mental health setting required. Excellent communication skills and proficient computer skills are required for this position.
