Job Overview:

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Temp Location Fundraising Coordinator located at our Corporate Headquarters in Tampa, FL.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Location Philanthropy and the Executive Director of Major and Planned Giving, and working closely with the Executive Assistant to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, the Temp Location Fundraising Coordinator will support the philanthropic efforts underway at our 19 locations of care. The Temp Coordinator will be an energetic, self-motivated team player who thrives on accomplishing goals to support the critical work required to manage our team of 75+ fundraising staff members. Reporting to the Executive Director of Location Philanthropy and the Executive Director of Major and Planned Giving, and working closely with the Executive Assistant to the Chief Philanthropy Officer. All candidates must bring a mission-driven and community-minded approach to the role.

This is a Temp position being filled via a temporary agency. The position is estimated to last approximately 6 months and will be 100% onsite at our Corporate Headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the hiring process such as scheduling interviews, posting jobs on our internal websites and to local and national job boards and associations, tracking application completion, and overseeing candidate travel.
  • Coordinate staff onboarding by developing meetings and training timelines, monitoring the progress of training plans, completing requisitions for needed software and hardware, and updating staff directories and listings.
  • Prepare agendas and communicate schedules and meetings for the locations team and the Major and Planned Giving team.
  • Address communications for the Chief Philanthropy Officer and assist the Executive Assistant to the Chief Philanthropy Officer through administrative and logistical activities.
  • Prepare expense reports and tracking for the executive directors to ensure proper documentation and coding are present. Review and upload location senior directors expense reports for approval of the executive director.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing fundraising events, such as galas, auctions, and campaigns through our Classy and other tools.
  • Assist with the distribution of collateral materials for location-based efforts.
  • In conjunction with the philanthropy services team, coordinate with vendors to ensure budgeting parameters are met.
  • Support the logistics of location and Major and Planned Giving events, including assisting with day-of activities as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars.


Qualifications:

Experience Required:

  • Minimum three (3) years work experience in an office setting in an administrative assistant or project coordination position required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Excellent organization, prioritzation and project management skills required
  • MS Office proficiency required
  • High School Diploma/GED required

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience in event planning, organizing, consultation, and event management preferred
  • Familiarity with fundraising techniques, trends, and best practices preferred
  • Expense reporting/budget support experience preferred
  • Proficiency in using donor management software, on-line giving tools, and CRM systems preferred
  • Familiarity with online design tools (Canva) preferred
