This Southern California based growth-stage startup ties in telemedicine, health and wellness, subscription, and pharma. They are led by a strong management team of industry experts and have a tremendous pipeline of consumer business enabling them to expand the team aggressively this year. The company is already profitable, with 8-figure ARR, and are growing over 30% per month. The Founder/CEO has also led several other successful venture-backed companies and has a track record of mentorship and promoting from within.

Role & Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Executive leadership team and engineering teams to deliver a scaling Direct-to-Consumer platform - Ecommerce and Subscription driven
Work on complex, high traffic, large scale consumer driven applications
Design and develop applications for new consumer workflows, payment gateways, checkout systems, and 3rd party APIs
Work in a Full stack development capacity utilizing NestJS, Node for backend and React for front end
Maintain and expand upon knowledge of multiple languages, frameworks, tools, devices, applications, and their capabilities
Grow into a role where you can mentor a team of Software Engineers
Work closely with various teams to deliver a live product to consumers
Design and build complex applications with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and high reliability
Work with Product Owners to drive product vision, from inception to architecture planning, release, and production
Participate in Standup meetings and agile best practices

Skills / Experience Needed:
7+ years of full stack development experience
5+ years of React front end development
Backend development expertise with Node, Python, Java or Golang
Familiarity with NestJS is a big plus
Experience with APIs and RESTful Web Services
Skilled with AWS Cloud Services
Experience with large scale, concurrent applications
Familiar with MySQL and/or NoSQL Databases
Prior legacy experience with PHP, WordPress and/or WooCommerce is a nice to have
Previous experience working for an eCommerce or subscription-based business is very important
Strong problem-solving capabilities and exhibits strong Computer Science Fundamentals
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Math or similar
