Job Summary:

This position is responsible for carrying out multiple human resources duties for Dairyland Laboratories. Under the supervision of the HR Manager, this person will support functions for HR, including but not limited to: recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits, employee time/attendance/leave, data entry, employee relations, safety, performance management, offboarding and employee record keeping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain employee physical and electronic records
  • Update and maintain all Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Post job openings internally and externally
  • Maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and correspond with applicants
  • Schedule and conduct phone and on-site interviews
  • Carry out personal, professional, and background reference checks
  • Assemble packets and administer all onboarding for new hires
  • Perform daily timecard edits and track attendance
  • Administer and track all employee leaves of absence requests, FMLA
  • Assist with administering all tasks necessary for benefit enrollment of employees
  • Update and maintain benefit carrier portals
  • Carry out administrative tasks to support the company Health & Safety Committee
  • Prepare termination packets and coordinate all offboarding of employees
  • Enter COBRA notices
  • Respond to a variety of correspondences in a timely manner
  • Miscellaneous office administrative tasks
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures
  • Assist in monitoring department practices to ensure compliance with the documented procedures
  • Assist with providing all the locations with newly required posters or company policies
  • Assist in coordinating company events
  • Attend meetings and events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager

  • Ability to make presentations and present to groups
  • Must be accurate and detail-oriented

  • Move around in an office environment and laboratory during the workday
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondences, and produce accurate documentation

Education and/or Experience:

Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or a minimum of 1 year HR experience, required
