Location: Norfolk, Virginia
Project Type: 200 Unit Waterside Apartment Complex

Responsibilities: As a Building Superintendent reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Supervise construction efforts to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Take responsibility for planning, coordinating, and supervising onsite functions, including scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ensure productivity of crafts and subcontractors, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
  • Provide technical assistance, including the interpretation of drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment.
  • Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, and standards.
  • Implement the Site-Specific Safety Plan.
  • Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Superintendent on Wood Frame and Multi-Rise Projects with values of approximately $30+ million.
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
  • Temporary relocation to the project site is required.
  • Resume shall indicate the area of expertise (e.g., civil, structural, marine, architectural, etc.).
