Job Summary: Operate and setup CNC Swiss Machines to fabricate production parts. Reporting To: Production Manager Essential Job FunctionsSetup and Operate CNC Swiss-style Star (SB-16 and SB-20) machines. Select and install cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and other accessories according to specifications Appropriately modify or edit programs. Make appropriate offsets and adjust tools. Read and interpret blueprints as needed. Properly use calipers, veneers, and thread gauges. Properly and safely load and unload machines. Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machines. Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner. Utilize and abide by all safety procedures. Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions. Skills and AbilitiesEffectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbal and written Problem-solving skills Attention to detail with precision equipment and products Ability to perform basic mathematical computations Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required. State Apprentice Program Certification in CNC a plus 10 years as setup and operator experience in CNC Swiss machining (citizen or stars). Ability to hold tight tolerances.
