Details:

Senior Software Engineer in Aurora, Colorado is available with GeoLogics top Aerospace & Defense company. In this job you will work onsite with a team of skilled Software Engineers developing Satellite Ground Stations Software in Java. To qualify for this job you will have an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Java-based backend applications for satellite ground systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement robust server-side solutions.
  • Modify and improve existing codebases for enhanced performance and scalability.
  • Conduct software design and code reviews, integrating best practices and innovations.
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
  • Participate in system integration and project milestone completion under guidance from supervisors.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in Java and related technologies to drive continuous innovation.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in (STEM) and 5+ years relevant or equivalent experience
  • Software development experience using Java or other object-oriented software language.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Java strongly preferred.
  • Experience with C++ and Python.
  • Experience working with the Atlassian Tool suite.
  • Experience developing software in an Agile and/or DevOps environments.
  • Previous work satellite GPS software desirable.
  • Experience with one or more areas of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite
Additional Details
  • Title: Senior Software Engineer (US Citizenship REQUIRED)
  • Clearance: Active Secret
  • Location: Aurora, Colorado 80011 (No relocation package)
  • Pay Range: $80/hr - $90.84/hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract-an hour worked is an hour paid)
  • Type: W2 hourly Contract (40 hrs), No 1099, No third parties, No C2C
  • Duration: This position will transition to a full time, direct hire with our customer.
  • Work Schedule: 5/40
