Founded in 1971, Clifton Steel Company (the Company) is a nationally recognized leader in the manufacturing of military armor plate and commercial specialty steel products. Clifton has served the armor plate market for over thirty years and is the premier industry supplier of many of its commercial products. The Company is a specialist in abrasion and impact resistant steel fabrication, particularly for quenched and tempered alloy and manganese steel. As a result of investments in production capabilities, access to critical materials and strong customer relationships, Clifton has established a defensible and sustainable market position. We are currently hiring for the position of Stock Handler for both first and second shift

Job Duties:
  • This position requires the ability to perform basic dimensional inspections, reading of work orders and proper identification accuracy.
  • This position requires the person to be physically able to stand for long periods of time, to perform repetitive motions and understand Grinding and Beveling operations.
  • This position requires a person to be able to read inspection tools: tape measure, micrometers, hardness tester, calipers, and read customer specifications, work orders, and inspection sheets.
  • This position requires a person to have the ability to operate lift trucks, overhead cranes, and pack materials.
  • This position requires operator to be able to operate hand grinder efficiently and maintain a level of acceptable part quality per internal and customer part specifications/drawings.
  • The grinder must be able to comprehend and complete work orders and production reporting reports accurately
  • Operator must have the ability to report production of parts in computer system and hand held devices include generation of proper labels and plate IDs.
  • Employee must participate and become actively engaged in the Company Traction & L10 Process.

Deberes de trabajo :
  • Este puesto requiere la capacidad de realizar inspecciones dimensionales bsicas, lectura de ³rdenes de trabajo y precisi³n de identificaci³n adecuada.
  • Este puesto requiere que la persona sea fsicamente capaz de permanecer de pie durante largos perodos de tiempo, realizar movimientos repetitivos y comprender las operaciones de esmerilado y biselado.
  • Este puesto requiere que una persona pueda leer herramientas de inspecci³n: cinta m©trica, micr³metros, probador de dureza, calibradores y leer especificaciones del cliente, ³rdenes de trabajo y hojas de inspecci³n.
  • Este puesto requiere que una persona tenga la capacidad de operar carretillas elevadoras, puentes grºa y empacar materiales.
  • Esta posici³n requiere que el operador pueda operar la esmeriladora manual de manera eficiente y mantener un nivel aceptable de calidad de la pieza segºn las especificaciones/dibujos internos y de la pieza del cliente.
  • El molinillo debe ser capaz de comprender y completar las ³rdenes de trabajo y los informes de producci³n con precisi³n.
  • El operador debe tener la capacidad de informar la producci³n de piezas en el sistema informtico y los dispositivos porttiles incluyen la generaci³n de etiquetas en identificaciones de placas adecuadas.
  • El empleado debe participar y participar activamente en el Proceso de tracci³n y L10 de la empresa.
