**What our Automotive Store Managers do:**

* Supervise and mentor Repair Technicians. Consult with Service Advisors, as needed, to ensure appropriate work is assigned according to Repair Technicians skill level.

* Verify that all repairs and maintenance on all vehicles is completed accurately and in a professional manner, and as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures or accepted industry practices.

* Supervise and ensure communication between Car Care Center and customer. Ensure that customer is kept up to date and ensures accuracy of repair permissions, agreements, and expectations and that promised estimates and completion times are met.

* Organize the work presented and plan for the highest efficiency in the performance of all job functions, including vehicle movement and parts procurement.

* Supervise and ensure continuous implementation and adherence to all AAA Car Care policies and procedures.

* Responsible for sales and operations of the store in the absence of the Manager. Create estimates and work orders from vehicle inspections and assist on the sales counter as needed.

* Assist the Service Advisors and Associate Advisors in communicating repair recommendations to the customers, and obtain approval to perform recommended repairs from the customer before actual repairs begins.

* Verify that all repairs are properly completed by re-testing repaired system to ensure proper function; road test vehicles, as necessary, to identify concerns or validate repair.

* Accurately complete paperwork, including, repair information on work orders, and information for state and emission inspections, including waivers and exemptions, etc.

* Review repair order with Service Advisor and owner/operator to ensure all requested repairs are completed.

* Maintain a clean, well-organized work area. Properly maintain tools and equipment. Assist in evaluating new equipment and follows all safety procedures as outlined in the safety information supplied by each equipment manufacturer and corporate safety policies.

* Monitor workflow and keep Service Advisors and Associate Advisors apprised of waiting times.

* Assist in the hiring and evaluation of Repair Technicians and training and development of Repair Technicians and Service Advisors.

* Open and close Car Care store and ensure adequate scheduling of same.

* Exercise firm, fair, and consistent leadership with all Associates.

* Ensure compliance with OSHA, M.A.P., State, and Hazmat regulations.

* Return vehicles in clean condition; ensure customer convenience settings are as the customer left them in the vehicle; do not disturb personal property in the vehicles unless movement is required for repair procedures.

* Schedule Repair Technicians for maximum productivity and payroll expense control.

* Read, understand, and utilize appropriate technical bulletins.

* Prepare store for inventories.

* Attend automotive meetings, as recommended by management.

* Assist in development of curriculum for Repair Technicians and Service Advisors.

* Delegate tasks and verify proper completion of those tasks/functions, as appropriate for the position.

* Maintain specific awareness of automotive products and a general awareness of AAAs products and services to provide exceptional member and client experiences in a manner that will build repeat business and generate sales.

* Other duties as assigned.

**What you will need to succeed:**

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* 4 years experience in the automotive repair industry.

* Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred.

* Must possess and maintain a valid operators license.

* Effective organizational and analytical skills.

* Effective written and oral communication skills.

* Ability to effectively interaction with others.

* Advanced knowledge of PC-based automotive computer equipment and software applications.

* Demonstrated ability to respond to customer inquiries and refer customers to the associates who can best assist them with Car Care, Travel, Insurance, Membership, Discounts, Financial Services, and other Retail products.

* Ability to adjust work schedule and priorities to meet business needs.

* The ability to complete a satisfactory Pre-Employment Screening if offered the position.
