Description

Do you have experience with pool management? Do you enjoy being responsible and be able to provide supervision and safety of all in a community pool environment? If so, the YMCA of Central Massachusetts, is looking for you to join our amazing Aquatics Team who supervises the Andrew J Petro pool located in Southbridge MA

The Community Pool is open for 10 weeks-Hours are Monday through Friday 9:00am-6:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 11:00am-5:00pm (hours are subject to change with extra programming). A regular predictable schedule will be provided.

**This position requires responsibilities prior to the opening of the pool (2 weeks ahead) to ready the facility for the season.

The Pool Supervisor will be expected to test and maintain pool chemistry throughout the day and the season. Inventory and daily reports on pool and facility is required.

This position's responsibilities will be part of the opening and closing of the facility (depending on shift). These duties are to include but not limited to, raising and lowering flags, unlocking, and locking of bathrooms and supply closets, keeping bathhouse neat and tidy, setting up/breaking down of guard stations and checking emergency equipment on a regular basis.

This position also includes participating and maintaining of community outreach programs and overseeing youth and community groups visiting the facility.

Qualifications:

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Possess CPR and 1st Aid Certifications
• Lifeguard Certification nice but not required.
• Practical Pool Management Plus Certification or equivalent (YMCA can send employee to and pay for training)

Job Type: Summer Seasonal, Full-Time

Pay: $25.00/hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities to all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
