Preparation and review of State and Local Gross Receipts Tax returns including account reconciliations and payment processing in collaboration with other staff and service providers. Preparation and review of State and Local Personal Property Tax returns and Business licenses and registrations. Review of Real Property Tax Bills in consultation with property tax advisors as well as budgeting, accounting and payment thereof. Assist with State and Local Sales and Use and Gross Receipts tax audits in collaboration with outside service providers and Director, Tax Compliance, State, Sales and Use, Operations. Collaborate with various functions of the company to minimize S&U and Gross Receipts tax liability and reduce audit risk.

Seek out opportunities to streamline compliance.

Qualifications

State and Local Tax Compliance experience Skills: Multitasking, Organization, Strong Communication, drive and self-initiative Minimum of 5 years' experience. Experience with Sales and Use and Gross Receipts tax compliance. Strong systems knowledge including ERP systems (Oracle/SAP), Microsoft Excel and Tax jurisdictions' websites/portals. Accounting for indirect taxes experience. Detail oriented Ability to work in team environment

Technical Certification Bonus:

Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
