Volunteers of America South Central Louisiana is hiring a Marketing and Development Coordinator

The Marketing and Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all volunteer inquiries, volunteer projects and in-kind donation drop-off’s including coordinating and managing our annual Christmas giving program, Hope Under the Tree, and other seasonal giving programs with donors.

In addition, they will manage the donor database including reporting needed for Accounting reconciliation.

They will be responsible for creating donor thank you acknowledgments and donor mail-outs related to fundraising campaigns and end of year tax letters.

This role will assist with the development of marketing communications and the execution of digital marketing campaigns that support the objectives of VOASCLA mission and fundraising goals, as needed.

In addition, this role will assist with the maintenance of social media platforms and create internal and external agency digital and print marketing materials; such as brochures, fliers, publications, newsletters and print ads.

They will also help maintain the organization’s website content.

This role will assist with all Development team projects, will be responsible for taking all photos and videos at events for use in internal and external communications, as needed, such as our annual fundraiser Celebration for Change, our Annual Meeting, Ribbon Cuttings, Worship Services and VOA branded apparel site.

This

role will perform other incidental and related duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree

At least 1-3 years' experience

Excellent Microsoft Office skills especially in publishing and editing

Organizational Communications

External Communications/Media Relations

Website management knowledge or experience

Some knowledge of Adobe creative suite

Luminate or Constant Contact knowledge

Blackbaud Raisers Edge/donor database management skills, preferred but not required

Must have valid Driver's License and be able to pass background check
