As a Class A CDL Driver, You Will:
  • Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport goods between specified local destinations.
  • Ensure the safe loading, unloading, and securing of cargo, making sure it is correctly positioned and protected during transit.
  • Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations.
  • Assemble small parts as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery logs.
  • Follow company safety standards, promptly reporting any safety concerns or incidents.
What You Will Bring to Derrick:
  • Valid NYS CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to meet all DOT requirements.
  • Capability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. as a core job function.
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal DOT regulations.
  • Experience operating both manual and automatic transmission trucks.
  • Ability to operate a forklift throughout the shift, as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Basic computer skills are an advantage but not required.

Hourly Pay Range: $21.00-25.00

The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. The top of the pay range is not guaranteed for this position; the exact pay will be based on internal equity, experience, and skillset. Only in exceptional cases, where a candidate's education, training, or experience significantly exceeds the position's requirements, would we consider offering pay above the stated range.
