Utilize engineering software and interface with CAD designers, as well as other engineers and** **subcontractors.** Responsibilities: + Performs field investigation, roadway/highway design, grading and drainage, ped ramp design, utilities, green Infrastructure, work zone traffic control, site layout, and other associated transportation engineering duties. + Develops civil/highway design plans, profiles, sections, and details utilizing engineering software (such as, AutoCAD and Microstation, etc.). + Prepares technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, and other contract documents. + Support multi-disciplinary design development teams for project execution. + Provides support for other engineering activities as required. + Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 0-2+ years of related work experience + NYCDOT/NYCDDC civil/highway experience preferred + Familiarity with NYCDDC, NYCDOT, and/or NYCDEP standards and specifications preferred + Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Microstation software, as well as working knowledge of other PC software packages typically associated with engineering + Strong verbal and written communication skill. + Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred **Minimum Clearance Required to Start:** Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
