Freese and Nichols is seeking an experienced and skilled TxDOT Project Manager to lead PS&E projects with a bridge focus. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing projects with bridge scope, specifically with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The office location is flexible with a preference for either Austin, Houston, Fort Worth, San Antonio, or San Marcos. As a TxDOT Project Manager, you will deliver PS&E projects with bridge scope and support the establishment of the TxDOT bridge market share using your TxDOT project management experience, bridge design experience, and TxDOT network. Responsibilities for this role include: Performing the role of TxDOT Prime Project Manager to deliver TxDOT PS&E projects with a bridge focus or significant bridge elements following TxDOT and FNI processes for successful completion within scope, schedule, and budget. Leading business development efforts that represent Freese and Nichols on medium- to large-scale bridge projects by building client relationships, positioning for anticipated projects, and leading proposal and interview processes. On occasion, performing the role of FNI Project Manager to deliver bridge PS&E projects to other public entities including federal, state, county, and local agencies. Coordinating with TxDOT and other regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Coordinating with multiple disciplines and subconsultants as needed to deliver bridge projects such roadway, traffic, drainage, environmental, and others. Collaborating with the bridge engineering team to ensure continuity, consistency, and quality. Following FNI processes for monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies. Participating in administration, interpretation, and implementation of contracts including documentation of decisions, change orders, and progress reports. Collaborating with internal stakeholders including bridge and other discipline leads to develop plans, schedules, and budgets. Responding promptly to client needs. Qualifications

Qualifications for this role include: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer Registration in Texas 8+ years' experience in TxDOT bridge design In-depth knowledge of TxDOT procedures, regulations, and documentation requirements Strong understanding of bridge engineering principles, construction techniques, and quality control standards Excellent communication and coordination skills for engaging with clients and meeting commitments Preferred skills for this role include: Experience in sales and marketing Proven ability to pursue and win TxDOT RFQs At Freese and Nichols, everyone on our team gets to make a meaningful difference in our communities.
