Position Summary:

The Fitness Trainer is responsible for instructing and coaching employees on proper use of all exercise equipment, demonstrate techniques and form, observe participants, and explain to them measures to improve their skills. The Fitness Trainer will also provide wellness and fitness education to include goal reaching, monitoring progress, motivation, stress management, flexibility training, nutrition counseling, etc. The Fitness Trainer will also establish relationships with employees to promote program participation and motivate them to make positive lifestyle changes. Fitness trainer will assist Wellness Coordinator in day to day operations, wellness programs, and wellness events.

Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelors' Degree in Exercise Science or closely related field required.
Experience:
  • One (1) year experience as a Personal Trainer required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • National Certification in Personal Training preferred.
  • National Certification in Wellness Coaching preferred.
Special Skills:
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of exercise science and fitness techniques.
  • Understanding of nutrition and diet.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead classes effectively.
  • Exemplary core customer service skills strongly required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Strong PC skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in all situations required.
