Full Time Activity Assistant

Job Summary:
As a Full Time Activity Assistant at Lantern Crest Senior Living in Santee, California, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. This is a full-time, hourly position that requires a passion for customer service, creativity, and a positive attitude. In this individual contributor role, you will work closely with our Activities Director to plan and coordinate engaging and meaningful activities for our residents.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Activities Director in planning and implementing a diverse and engaging calendar of activities for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure activities meet the physical, social, and emotional needs of our residents
- Prepare and set up activity areas, ensuring they are clean, safe and inviting
- Provide hands-on assistance to residents during activities, as needed
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Communicate effectively with residents and explain activities in a clear and enthusiastic manner
- Seek out resident suggestions and feedback for activity ideas
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety regulations
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with seniors in a healthcare or activity-related setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for working with seniors
- Creative and enthusiastic with the ability to engage and motivate others
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
