Coda Search is partnering with a multi-faceted, global creative sports and entertainment agency headquartered in West LA. This rapidly expanding company has grown from 300 to 3000 employees worldwide, reflecting its dynamic and evolving nature.
Role Overview:
The VP of Finance will be pivotal in managing the financial operations for the sports division, working closely with the COO and the global CFO. This role involves preparing financial models, managing treasury functions, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), and leading all Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities across the group. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing organization and work intimately with the executive leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the group financial plan and present findings to the Executive team.
Prepare the monthly consolidated financial reporting package.
Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making processes.
Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Oversee and manage the annual budget for the sports division.
Coordinate with department heads to ensure alignment with overall business strategy.
Work closely with the leadership team to analyze ongoing performance.
Create and establish KPIs across the group.
Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track performance metrics.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
Lead and mentor a small team of finance professionals.
Act as a strategic partner to the COO and executive leadership team.
Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s strategic initiatives.
Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence and integration.
Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Master’s degree or CPA is a plus.
15+ years of experience within the entertainment sector.
Extensive experience overseeing FP&A, treasury, and corporate finance functions.
Previous experience supervising a small team.
Proven track record of managing budgets and financial plans in a large organization..
