Job Summary

Associate instructor for the machine tool class.

Job Duties

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or HiSet required.
NIMS Certification or a desire to achieve NIMS certification is required.
Must have a minimum of (3) years successful employment as a job shop machinist or tool & die maker.

Preferred Qualifications

Related Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must be proficient in the use of vertical and horizontal milling machines, manual engine lathes, grinders, drill press, saws, wire and sinker EDM, computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines, and G&M Programming

Must be proficient in math and blueprint reading.

Ability to use CAD/CAM software.

Must possess good oral and written communication skills, must have expansive organizational and planning skills.

Teaching experience is a plus.

Must be willing to learn and use individualized instructional techniques. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with students, faculty, staff,
general public, and business and industry.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
