If you are a **Machine Operator** professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you Based in our Rushville, IN you will be responsible for operating conventional, special purpose and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines safely to fabricate metallic parts to production and quality standards in an ISO9001 environment.

**Responsibilities**

+ Operates machinery/process (manual, NC, CNC) in assigned work cell or area

+ Ability to promote to next level, Machine Center Operator II: Learn/demonstrate repetitive ability to setup **ALL** Manual/NC/CNC equipment/processes in assigned work cell or area

+ Work cross functionally between machines and cells

+ Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining

+ Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications

+ Performs preventative maintenance on equipment

+ Confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers or others to resolve machining problems

+ Initiates and/or support process improvements and corresponding documentation

+ Trains other team members in assigned operations as needed

+ Follow Work Instructions for each step of the process to meet acceptable production standards during and after training completed

+ Maintain hourly/daily activity records supporting quality production

+ Assure compliance to all safety, environmental and health standards, procedures, and practices
