Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Senior Accounts Payable Specialist Sutro Biopharma, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in managing our accounts payable processes. In this position, you will ensure the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments while maintaining strong relationships with our vendors and contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department. Responsibilities Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process a high volume of invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures. Vendor Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing discrepancies and inquiries regarding invoices and payments. Payment Processing: Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks and electronic transfers, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements. Reconciliations: Conduct regular account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and assist with month-end closing activities. Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to streamline the accounts payable workflow and improve overall efficiency. Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of accounts payable experience, with a strong understanding of AP processes. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., D365, Oracle, QuickBooks). Proven to review, verify, and process a high volume of invoices. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The anticipated salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role at Sutro Biopharma's California based locations will be $87,000 - $116,000 (not including bonus, equity, and benefits). The final salary offered will be dependent on several factors that include and are not limited to relevant previous experience, job responsibilities and duration of experience, the type and length of experience within the industry and education.
