The Insurance Claims Care Representative position exists to set up new claims and process a large volume of incoming calls regarding existing insurance claims.
Job Duties:
- Is responsible for professional and timely communication with customers via phone, fax, and email.
- Accurately documents all information regarding existing claims.
- Assists team members with customers in timely follow-up, processing and settling of their insurance claims.
- Interviews claimants and initiate claims procedures.
- Reviews applicant's insurance coverage.
- Gathers file information and aids Claims Representative as necessary.
- Documents, imports, and gathers information from customers.
- Processes inspection reports.
- Follows up with customers in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Effectively communicate via phone and computer.
- Superior customer service and communication skills
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in AS400 a plus.
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to complete assigned work efficiently.
- Willing to learn, hard-working, determined, and assertive.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus but not required.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
- Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Ability to talk and type at the same time.
- Must be able to communicate around 90% of the time over the phone. Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.
- Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process
- Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
