Job Title: Sterile Technician

Job Specialty: Central Sterile Processing Center for Orthopedic/Sports Medicine

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 8H Days

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Experience: Minimum of 2 years

License: Required for Submission

Certifications: BLS

Must-Have: Proficiency with EPIC charting system

Job Description:
- Responsible for sterilizing and preparing instruments and equipment for the operating room.
- Ensure all surgical tools are properly cleaned, sterilized, and organized for orthopedic and sports-related procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of sterilization processes and inventory management.
- Work collaboratively with the operating room staff to ensure timely availability of required equipment.
- Follow stringent infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Participate in quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives within the sterile processing department.
- Complete the orientation program consisting of 24 hours to acclimate to the facility's processes and standards.
- Manage workflow efficiently to accommodate the dynamic needs of orthopedic and sports medicine surgeries.
