Join our team and help us shape the future of mobility As a Mechanical Systems Engineer I, you will be a member of an international team focused on creating and reviewing efficient designs for state-of-the-art passenger trains, managing complex interfaces and integrating systems. Key Responsibilities Create concepts, specifications and technical documentation for various passenger train systems Responsible for the design and integration of assigned systems into various rail vehicles Coordinate technical and project system requirements between Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and other engineering teams Act as the primary technical liaison for Stadler’s contracted external system suppliers Interpret and incorporate local, federal, and customer requirements into system design Define procurement documentation, type testing, and commissioning documentation Support static and dynamic field testing of rail vehicles Responsible for performing First Article Inspections (FAI) of assigned systems Follow scheduling, budgetary goals and guidelines Ensure clear and effective cross-departmental collaboration Qualifications BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar Engineering discipline Experience with designing and defining complex systems Independent and well-structured working methods Able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative to maintain project timelines Excellent communication, technical writing and problem-solving skills Great 3D and 2D CAD skills (CATIA V5 is a plus) Experience working in a PLM system (SmarTeam or TeamCenter is a plus) What we offer Stadler US employee benefits package includes: 401(k) with employer match after 90 days Generous Paid Time Off / 10 Paid Holidays / Extended Paid Holiday (Dec. 25 - Jan 1) Tuition and training reimbursement Paid maternity and parental leave Company-paid life and disability insurance Stadler US is an Equal Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr
