Location: Santa Rosa, CA 95403
Position: Patient Services Representative
Pay Rate: $21.50/hr.
Duration: 6 weeks - Estimated duration 9/16 to 10/31 (Temporary)
Expected Shift: 5 x 8 m - f days either avaliable schedules:
- 0700-1530 or
- 1100-1930
- Shifts could fall in between 5:30am - 2:00pm to as late as 9:00am - 5:30pm. All the workers would be on the same 8.5 hours schedule
RTO- Not preferred for project
Patient service representative in outpatient flu and tb clinic setting. Registration responsibilities with patient check-in communication.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
- 1 year of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
- Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions
- 1+ years' recent experience working as a Patient Service Representative; Front office experience; checking in and verifying patient information
- Experience with CS-Link/Epic
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Primary point of contact for patient relations in person and by phone
- Greet patients and assist in resolving patient concerns and escalating as appropriate
- Check patients in/out and collect co-payments, give receipts, and reconcile payments
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic
- Schedule appointments and complete patient registration
- Process and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types
- Handle patient/provider correspondence
- Explains polices, procedures, or services to patients
- Sanitize workspace using provided supplies and following department guidelines
- Customer Service overseeing administrative processes
- Verifying documentation accurately and completely
- Comfortable with EMR system operations
- HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
