We are seeking a talented Middleware Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the operational stability, implementation, lifecycle management, and security of our middleware integration platforms.   • Leading new implementations and upgrade projects.
  • Addressing break/fix incidents and system integrations.
  • Remediation of vulnerabilities and security patching.
  • Troubleshooting complex issues through root cause analysis.
  • Following standard processes, completing tasks promptly, and meticulously documenting outcomes.
  • Providing flexible support, including participation in on-call rotations and adapting to dynamic production environments.
Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, from daily middleware administration to cyber security and application run-time support. A strong technical background is crucial for success in this role.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Over 5 years of experience in middleware architectures, system design, and java application tuning.
  • Proficiency in application servers such as Red Hat JBoss (JWS/EAP), Tomcat, IBM WebSphere, and Oracle WebLogic.
  • Familiarity with web servers including Apache, JBCS Apache, IBM HTTP Server, IIS, and Nginx.
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems and Information Technology infrastructure components.
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying solutions to internal stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach to resolving complex issues.
  • Proactive mindset towards process improvement and incident prevention.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with automation technologies like Ansible, Chef, TrueSight, and RunDeck.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Nimsoft, SPLUNK, and AppDynamics.
  • Knowledge of certificate management, provisioning, and governance.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and tools like ADO, Kanban, and Git.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, or similar.
  • Experience with additional tools such as SoapUI, Postman, and Advanced Rest Client.
