Inpatient Pharmacy Manager

An exciting new opportunity has just become available as our highly accredited facility in the greater Cambridge Massachusetts area is looking for an Inpatient Pharmacy Manager to play a critical role in overseeing the hospital’s mission of providing exceptional patient care.
As the Pharmacy Clinical Manager, you will be an integral component of a 250+ bed facility that is part of one of one of the top health care systems in the nation. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the pharmacy team, which entails but is not limited to:
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in pharmacy operations.
Manage the procurement, storage, and distribution of medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
Collaborate with health care providers to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes.
Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
Monitor medication usage patterns and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Serve as a resource for drug information and provide clinical support to health care providers as needed.
Maintain accurate records and reports related to pharmacy operations.
The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will be fully supported by a team of 10 full time employees and will report directly to the Pharmacy Director to collaborate with them on unit goals and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical inpatient pharmacy background. Candidates who possess a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency will earn quick interviews, though it is not required.
