STAFF ACCOUNTANT

OVERVIEW OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

  • Prepares journal entries & reconciles general ledger & subsidiary accounts.
  • Analyzes & reconciles expenditure & revenue accounts.
  • Staff Accountant calculates & prepares reimbursement billings & tracks receivables; reconciles monthly accounts receivable.
  • Assists with the preparation of the annual & mid-year budgets.
  • Staff Accountant assists with the fiscal year-end & fixed asset accounting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
  • 3-4 years of general accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and comfortable with accounting programs.
  • Staff Accountant needs strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
