Principal Product Manager - Ai-Driven Insights & Ecosystem Intelligence Windows powers over 1.4 billion devices globally and anchors the commercial PC ecosystemspanning OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) partners, enterprise customers, education, public sector, MSPs, ISVs, and silicon providers. Decisions made within this ecosystem have far-reaching impact on device quality, customer satisfaction, and competitive positioning. Today, signals from the market, customers, partners, and telemetry are often handled manually, reactively, and in fragmented ways. This role exists to change that. The Principal Product Manager - AI-Driven Insights & Ecosystem Intelligence will lead the transformation of how datatelemetry, market feedback, customer signals, and partner intelligenceis used to drive OEM strategy, product decisions, and share protection. This role builds the systems and automation that convert raw input into meaningful action and influence across teams. This is a strategic, horizontal role reporting directly to the CVP, operating across OEM engineering, commercial insights, ecosystem partnerships, and product influence. Responsibilities Convert Signals into Insight - Identify high-value insight gaps across OEM device quality, customer satisfaction, share risk, ecosystem trends, and competitive movement as well as key commercial, EDU, and GSI metrics around Windows deployment, quality, and adoption. Aggregate and synthesize telemetry, survey data, field signals, support data, and qualitative feedback into actionable insights. Build repeatable, AI-assisted insight workflows that replace manual reporting and slide-driven updates. Transform Data into Direction - Translate ecosystem signals into prioritized actions for Windows engineering, OEM partners, and commercial strategy. Evolve "Windows Ecosystem Health Index" and create a "Windows Commercial Health Index" with meaningful indicators (e.g., device age, quality trends, upgrade adoption, satisfaction, displacement risk). Partner with centralized data science and telemetry organizations to leverage existing infrastructure. Drive Outcome-Based Execution - Create automated workflows that ensure insights lead to decisions or roadmap changesnot just visibility. Define and track ecosystem and share-critical metrics alongside OEM strategy, partner feedback, and customer experience trends. Replace at least one legacy or manual reporting motion per quarter. Deploy AI as a Force Multiplier - Use automation, copilots, summarization models, and telemetry pipelines to reduce time from signal to action. Build frameworks and prototypes that other PMs and partner teams can adopt with minimal friction. Influence Without Owning Headcount - Operate horizontally across OEM engineering, commercial share insights, compete, and ecosystem partner teams (MSP, GSI, EDU). Work directly with senior leaders to highlight gaps and drive prioritization of insights that shape direction. Establish clarity and visibility into risks and opportunities across device strategy, quality, and customer adoption. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience. Knowledge of Windows telemetry and commercial deployment environments. Experience working with AI/ML tools to derive insights from complex datasets. Proficient communication and storytelling skills, especially with technical and executive audiences. Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence without authority. Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the US is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
