Based in Martinsville, VA with administrative offices in High Point, NC, domestic production facilities in Hickory, NC and Bedford, VA and distribution warehouses in Martinsville, VA, Madison/Mayodan, NC, and Redlands, CA, Hooker Furniture is ranked among the nations largest publicly traded furniture sources. Hooker Furniture also operates multiple showrooms in High Point, N.C. and administrative offices in Vietnam and China.

A Customer Care Consultant is a member of a team located in the Martinsville, VA office. This is a great opportunity to learn about Sam Moore Furniture and engage with team members, sales representatives, and customers

**The Position:**

We are looking for a adaptable and trainable individual who loves working with people to join our customer care team. This individual will:

* Ensure the customers experience is harmonious with our purpose in all aspects of direct customer communication.

* Answer Phones- direct contact with the consumers, customers, and sales reps. (Point of incoming contacts)

* Appropriately respond in a prompt and sympathetic manner to positive and negative interactions.

* Answer emails {status, order changes, cancellations, ordering samples, product questions or product availability)

* Sort and distribute faxes and mail {orders, part orders, inquire, etc.)

* Process parts orders

* Process CTM & CFA request

* Expedited service needs for other team members

* Assist others as time permits

* Cross-train to become a Senior Customer Care Consultant

**Candidates that will be a great fit will have:**

* A fast and reliable home internet connection and quiet workspace.

* High school Diploma or equivalent reading, communication, math, and problem-solving skills

* Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required

* Experience working in a team to meet common objectives.

* Job history and experience reflecting dependability and reliability.

* Creative, outside-the-box thinking for problem solving and mutual satisfaction

* Basic computer navigation, excel, outlook, and web browsing.

* Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.

* A continuous improvement mindset to implement and assess best practices.

* This is a great opportunity for someone local to the Martinsville area who wants part-time remote work. A fast and reliable internet connection is a MUST.

* This position will have prorated PTO and Paid Holidays and access to our 401K. (no health insurance will be offered due to the part-time nature of the position)

**Shift:** Monday to Friday (open to a morning or afternoon schedule- 20-25 hours per week)

**Pay: Dependent upon experience**
