Stanbridge University is looking for an energetic individual with exceptional communication and organizational abilities to join our Maintenance department as a Janitorial Associate. This role presents an amazing opportunity to become part of a thriving and expanding university.
Essential Functions:
- Performs general cleaning and dusting in all areas of the building.
- Maintains all tile floors using a stripping, waxing, and buffing process.
- Maintains and fills all soap dispensers and towel dispensers in rest rooms, as required.
- Removes trash from offices and classrooms throughout the buildings on a routine basis.
- Cleans all bathrooms, as required.
- Cleans student lounges daily.
- Vacuums, dusts, and keeps a neat appearance in all office areas and classrooms throughout campus
- 8:30 PM to 5:00 AM weekend availability desired
- Sunday-Thursday
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to meet physical requirements: standing, twisting, walking, grasping, pushing, pulling, and ability to carry and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of one year of janitorial work experience.
- Valid state driver's license.
- $18-$20/hr. (Salary is dependent upon education and experience.)

- The incumbent regularly sits for extended periods.
- Physical ability to perform the duties as assigned to the program or department.
- Proficient in operating electronic keyboards and other office machines.
- Effective verbal communication skills in answering telephones and providing information with clarity and distinctness.
- Ability to read fine print and operate computers with precision.
- Ability to understand voices over the telephone and in person.
- Able to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing between 10-25 pounds as needed.
