Looking for an exciting opportunity to work in all the different ICU's at MGH? This is your chance by joining our ICU Float Pool RN's will be responsible for providing care for patients in the Divisional Critical Care Resource Pool. They will be cross-trained over time to cover several different critical care areas including Medical ICU, Burn ICU, Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Cardiac Surgical ICU, and Cardiac ICU. Assignments on each unit may extend across several weeks or months, allowing each nurse to develop a diverse set of skills. The staff nurse is responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of a designated group of patients. They collaborate with the Nursing Director and members of the Patient Care Team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. They also collaborate with the patient toward meeting the needs and expectations of the patient and family. Staff nurses ensure that care is safe, efficient, effective, timely, and meets the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic needs of each patient and family. Qualifications BSN is required. Current licensure in Massachusetts as a registered nurse is required. Minimum 3 years of med/surg/tele or stepdown experience. 2 years ICU experience preferred. Full-time position 36 hours per week with a 50/50 split between days and nights along with weekend and holiday requirements.
