Collaborative communication, overall unity, respect & trust, and excellence in engineering is what guide us.POSITION: Senior Mechanical EngineerLOCATION: Springfield, MOYEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 10+ YearsPOSITION OVERVIEWThis position applies mechanical engineering design knowledge and the ability to create final construction drawings for the owner and supports the owner throughout the entire construction process. Also serves as a mentor to less experienced mechanical engineers and CAD drafters.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAccurately and timely produces engineering design elements consistent with project specificationsAccurately and timely produces design elements and troubleshoots flaws in accordance with the project hours, scope, and parametersProduces engineering construction documents appropriate for permitting based on project specificsProvides complete management of project timelines and related design activity communication between the design team and the client accurately and timelyIn accordance with company standards, provides assistance in the preparation of accurate and complete proposals and engineering agreementsProvide project coordination with in-house and outside sourcesProvides timely consultation on projects to manage schedules, deadlines, site surveys, punch lists, building codes, and standards consistent with company quality standardsAccurately and consistently execute QA/QC processProduces accurate and complete engineering project specifications within project parametersProvide timely billing of projects to the accounting departmentSelects appropriate equipment for project typeProduces accurate and complete load calculations and engineering project specifications within project parametersActively participates in post-design activities and represents the company in client meetings, through construction completionEnsures the quality of engineering design is consistent with established quality standardsActively mentors junior engineers and designersAssists in the preparation of other documents germane to a project with enthusiasm and professionalismFollows established work rules, policies, and proceduresActively engages with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies and reduce costsCooperatively takes on other duties, roles, or responsibilities as assignedNON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSOther general office processes and procedures and project activitiesActively participate in a company committeeREQUIREMENTSExpert knowledge of building codes and standardsKnowledge of mechanical engineering standards and other tradesStrong project management skills4-year degree in engineering required, EIT and/or PE preferredMinimum of 10 years experience in mechanical engineeringDemonstrable understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawingsKnowledge of AutoCADKnowledge of Revit preferredExcellent communication skillsOTHER SKILLS & ABILITIESTeam-oriented, professional, self-starter, with a positive attitude and multi-tasking capability.SOME OF THE GREAT BENEFITS FOR OUR TEAM•Responsible Time Off (RTO) & paid holidays, because we believe in taking time away to perform at your best•Flexible scheduling, because we understand life happens•401K with matching to help our team invest in their future•Health, dental, vision, & life insurance for you & your family•Hands-on mentoring & learning through RTM University•Professional advancement opportunities•Integrated multi-disciplinary studios•Team outings•Every day, we prioritize giving and taking.
