Job Description:

Immediate opening for a Bartender to work for a local dining establishment in Presque Isle. Great opportunity for an individual with strong customer service skills and a passion for mixology. Flexible schedule options available. Work part-time or full-time; hours available from 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, Mon-Sat. $15.00/hr. + tips and gratuities.

The Bartender will be expected to sell, prepare, and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons at the establishment. They will be responsible for keeping their workstation clean and well-stocked, as well as responding to customers in an efficient and professional manner. The employee must perform all duties in accordance with company policies and Maine State liquor laws.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, wine, beer, and liquor.
• Greet customers, take orders, and provide beverage recommendations.
• Accept payments from customers, balance cash receipts, and provide appropriate change.
• Ensure that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
• Adhere to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures as directed.
• Keep areas in and around the bar clean and well-organized; prepare garnishes, clean glassware, restock ingredients, remove trash, and clean up spills.
• Review inventory and submit orders for liquor, beer, and other supplies as needed.
• Participate in company-mandated staff meetings and training programs.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by site supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Good customer service and communication skills; at least 1-2 years' experience serving in an upscale dining environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of mixology, wines, and beers a must.
• Ability to identify potential food allergens and/or allergic reactions to foods and beverages.

Schedule: Full-time or Part-time; hours available from 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, Mon-Sat.
Pay: $15.00/hr. + tips and gratuities.
