Patient Support Associate

Job Overview: The Patient Support Associate is responsible for multiple functions including cleaning and maintaining all OR rooms, sub-sterile areas, and other areas within the department. The Patient Support Associate is also responsible for the inventory of supplies, and transporting patients to and from the department. The Patient Support Associate will be crossed trained to perform assigned job duties in the main Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center. Scheduling and assignment will be determined by perioperative staffing needs at the discretion of perioperative leadership. Qualifications: Required: * High School diploma or equivalent Preferred: * Knowledge of inventory control techniques * Hospital housekeeping experience preferred Scheduling Requirements: * 11:00am-7:30pm * Monday-Friday with a requirement of 2 holidays and 4 weekends per year * Full time Essential Functions: * Assist in cleaning emergency spills observed or upon request * Assists with patient positioning under the direction of the RN * Assists with patient preparation.
