Procurement Specialist

Location: Binghamton, NY

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Generating reports from SAP for open and past due purchase orders
  • Reviewing open order reports from suppliers
  • Follow up on open/past due items with suppliers.
  • Informing internal stakeholders impacted by delays.
  • Requesting/Managing quotes for items not on a Framework Agreement under the $10,000 limits
  • Gathering technical/Purchase order data from SAP to send to vendor requesting quotes.
  • Distributing quote information to Material Planners for order creation
  • Invoice resolution
  • Generating Invoicing reports in SAP on past due invoices
  • Research invoicing issues to give feedback to Material Planners

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Experience using Ariba
  • Formal tender experience
  • Supply professional experience
  • Supply Certification required
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree with 5 years of procurement experience, or equivalent work experience
  • Competent / expert in material management and logistics functions
  • Highly skilled in data analysis tools and techniques and use of MS Excel / MS Access and other database applications
  • Excels in use of computerized materials / inventory management systems.
  • Competent with project schedules with multiple work fronts and locations
  • Familiar with Document Control systems and their application
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and report preparation
