Visit www.nasoya.com to learn more about our company and products.Job responsibilities :Responsible for coordination, implementation, and maintenance of QA ProgramSupervise daily QC Technician and QA Lead ActivitiesResponsible for identifying quality and food safety issues & verify they have been correctedConduct internal, 3rd party and customer audits to ensure compliance to all Federal, State, County, City Regulations, Customer Requirements, SQF code and Pulmuone Food Standards such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), Pest Control, Glass Avoidance, SSOP/HACCP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure/Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) and general facility conditionConduct end-product safety and quality analysisMaintain an accurate set of documents/recordsConduct Hold and Release of productsVerify HACCP Critical Control Point (CCPs) monitoring recordsProvide independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance to company standards and policies and effectively communicating when there are deviations from standards or processesDevelop documents and implements training, programs, and procedures to ensure that customer, company, and regulatory specifications are met. Trainings include includes but not limit to product quality standards, GMPs, Food Safety Issues, and HACCPAssist coordinating investigation on all NCR issued and Customer and Consumer Complaints and ensure they are followed throughEnsure all equipment calibrations are currentAssist with ad hoc responsibilities as neededSkills/Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, (Bio-)Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Agricultural Science is requiredFood Quality and Food Safety system knowledge and experience and familiarity with food regulatory compliance requiredUSDA experience preferredRequired certificates: PCQI, SQF & HACCP certified will be a plusUnderstanding/knowledge of food microbiology, chemistry, and biological chemistryUnderstanding/knowledge of FDA and USDA food regulationProficient with computers, MS office, Genesis, and strong communication skillsSolid problem-solving abilities with the ability to coach and mentor others in this capacityGood communication skills, Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is preferredWe offer competitive pay and benefits package, including health - (80-90% company paid) for employee and dependents, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, company match 401K plan, vacation, floating holidays, and company holidays.Nasoya is a global, distributed workforce in four countries.
