Surgical Technician - General Surgery at Providence summary: The Surgical Technician supports general surgery procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile environments, and assisting surgeons and nursing staff. This role requires certification as a Surgical Technologist and Basic Life Support (BLS) training, with preference given to candidates with operating room experience. The primary duties of the Surgical Technician include: being prepared for and knowledgeable of the surgical procedure to be performed, setting up and maintaining a sterile field, assists surgeon as necessary, assists circulating nurse and other members of the surgical team, maintains familiarity, function and proper care of all OR equipment and instruments.
