TheSenior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for ongoing processimprovement initiatives that deliver excellence across entire valuechain. This position develops and improves manufacturing processes andproduct quality by studying product and manufacturing methods,identifying areas of improvement, and working with manufacturingpersonnel to ensure plans are implemented. Essential Duties andResponsibilities: Significant responsibility for area layouts, processdefinition, PLC programing; design/selection, justification, andimplementation of equipment, programs, and tooling Contribute to theimplementation of the Generac Fulfillment System (GFS) across theOrder-to-Cash process (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver & Service)Responsible for leading and coordinating the successful launch of NewProduct Introductions (NPI) within Operations Contribute to facilitytransformation, technology transfer and ongoing maintenance of mixedmodel lines or value streams Ensure ongoing success of processimprovement initiatives by implementing policies, procedures and processdocumentation Implement demand driven principles and strategies thatsupports operational excellence and long range plans (Flexibility, Speed& Responsiveness) Ensure product, material and information streams flowand are synchronized to produce maximum efficiencies and lowest cost ofoperation Contribute to creation of innovative ideas to improve businessresults Deploy standard Generac tools, methodologies, standards,practices and processes Implement objectives to include continuousimprovement initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction and fulfillmentneeds Work closely with shop floor personnel to promote ongoingContinuous Improvement of manufacturing methods, systems and controlsBasic Qualifications: Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering or IndustrialTechnology 5 years of experience in the engineering function within asimilar working environment Additional Qualifications: Proficiency inCAD (AutoCAD, Solid Works and/or ProE); Excellent organizational,written and oral communication skills; Knowledge of lean principles andprocess improvements; Diverse...
