National Bank is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced audit professional to become a key member of the audit team in Blacksburg, Virginia. The auditor is responsible for conducting audits of departments and functional areas. Duties include conducting audits for various areas including operational, financial, and compliance audits. The auditor will perform fieldwork, prepare detailed workpapers that identify assumptions, information sources and support conclusions, document testing and summarize findings. Upon completion of audits, the auditor will document exceptions and recommendations and determine materiality of comments.

Required Qualifications

One to three years audit experience Critical thinking and problem solving abilities Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly grasp audit needs and objectives Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrate professionalism while working with confidential and sensitive matters Work independently and in a team environment Familiar with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time Occasional day travel

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field Internal audit experience Bank industry knowledge
