Summary/ObjectiveThe Business Analyst acts as a technical liaison between an operating unit and IT. The position assists in the definition, creation, testing and implementation of business applications targeted at providing solutions for Operations and external clients. Activities include project planning, designing of system enhancements, testing and the implementation of systems to ensure goals and objectives of projects are met.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.1.Provides a single point of contact for Operating Unit into IT and acts as a conduit between the two organizations.2.Elicitation of Business, Functional and Technical Requirements through Joint Application Design (JAR) Sessions, Focus Group and individual interviews, Prototyping, Interface Analysis, Document Analysis, and Reverse Engineering techniques. 3.Leads Business Process Modeling sessions, acting as a documentarian, co-facilitator, facilitator, and/or subject matter expert in sketch sessions.4.Collaborates consistently with warehouse floor to understand requirements and systematic changes to enhance service, efficiency, and quality.5.Conducts preliminary investigation for all project requests. Review's and elicit requirements, specifications, test, support, and training plans to ensure they are in line with business objectives on projects.6.Leads Business Process Management group efforts to collect and analyze metrics and continually improve processes owned by the group.7.Leads root cause analysis to recommend product enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve productivity for both the Operating Unit and IT.8.Acts as Product Owner and maintains priority and traceability of requirements from concept to delivery of a project.9.Lead Scrum meetings and product sprints10. Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development11. Assume the role of subject matter expert for the projects and its deliverables 12. Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process13. Ability to identify and document change request and escalate appropriately. 14. Ability to manage and lead multiple projects15. Strategic agility - strong understanding of why projects are being done16. Mentor to others in the organization 17. Comfort with presenting at the senior executive level18. Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications•Bachelor's degree •5+ years of related work experience•Logistics experience and WMS knowledge preferred.•Experience in leading the defining, testing and implementing of business applications to support operational execution. •Strong analytical skills and effective communication skills to effectively interact with a wide range of users with different levels of computer expertise. Ability to design workable solutions to problems in a timely manner.•Ability to hear, read and comprehend, write, and communicate.While performing the duties of this job, the associate is:•Continuously required to sit, type, and perform repetitive wrist motion;•Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn, or reach.
