My name is Brandy, and I am a Sr. Talent Advisor with The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Corporate Accountant for a prominent client of ours. This position is position is located in West Palm Beach, FL. Details for the position is below:

The business is operating in partnership with a well-capitalized private equity firm with the intent to grow the business via strategic acquisitions and organic growth. This position reports to the Corporate Controller in the Corporate headquarters in West Palm Beach, and the role will include the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting the Controller with the monthly financial reporting close process.
  • Maintains and reconciles balance sheet subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies including but not limited to prepaids, fixed assets, inventory, deferred revenue and work-in-progress assets and liabilities.
  • Handles treasury function, including recording and reconciling daily bank activity for multiple accounts and entities.
  • Assists the accounting team with reconciling and reporting on A/R and A/P control accounts.
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing detailed and related account information.
  • Performs other key accounting tasks and procedures to support the Company's financial reporting function.
  • Supports both the Controller and FPA Manager in preparing variance analysis and works with the operations organization to provide and validate variance explanations.
  • Supports the Controller with evaluating and managing the control environment and assists with the development of processes and procedures to improve the underlying financial and operating control environment.
  • Assists FPA Manager in developing and capturing key metrics and analysis.
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years similar work experience in accounting
  • Public accounting experience preferred
Skills:
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with varying levels within the organization
