Essential Functions Develops improvements to data packages delivered to simulator companies Provides troubleshooting support to identify the system root cause within a simulated system environment Supports troubleshooting of issues reported by simulation companies Identifies improvements and modifies tools for use in system simulation solutions Provides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques Maintain tracking of simulator system integration issues and related project management skills to coordinate solutions across engineering teams. Applies Garmin’s Mission, Vision, Values and Quality Policy and enthusiastically exhibits a desire to see Garmin succeed Serves as a mentor to less experienced engineers (Aviation Systems Engineer 1) Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another technical field AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) Demonstrated experienceworking withcomplex electronic and electro-mechanical systems. Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication Desired Qualifications Master’s Degree in an Engineering field Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5) Pilot’s License, and/or demonstrated knowledge of Garmin’s aviation product lines and customer needs are also desirable skills.
